Product Description

The AP Series Ductless Fume Hood provides a safe work environment for lab staff working with acids and harsh chemicals.

The hood includes an advanced VAV (Variable Air Volume) system. The VAV system measures the air velocity using a high quality senor and adjusts the air velocity speed to the relevant standard. The system is designed to keep harmful airborne contaminants away from the operator's respiratory zone. Various filter media is used depending on the type of chemical vapors and or particulate that are generated. Since the air is recirculated, no exterior duction is necessary. The system features a high safety level, displaying real time air velocity and providing alarms for low velocity levels.

A 5" color touch screen control panel for adjusting speed and system parameters. These ductless fume hoods are equipped with a powerful and efficient fan that pulls the air through the hood's inlet and into the filtration membrane.

The HS-5000 is a completely self contained, filtered-air workstation and work surface in one package. A rear mounted baffle provides horizontal laminar air flow with less turbulence.The angled clear polycarbonate shield over the large work area provides full visibility and easy access to instruments or containers inside. The sloping door is available as a solid polycarbonate hinged panel or with a cutout for a microscope. Lighting options include an LED strip which provides overhead illumination or an LED dual gooseneck lamp with a more concentrated light source for microscope viewing. This unit is often selected for use with a microscope and is available with an appropriate opening in the face shield to accommodate most stereozoom microscopes. The filter housing is designed to stack one or more filters simultaneously up to 7” high , allowing one station to be used for multiple pollutants or procedures. Filters are easily accessible for replacement with no tools required. The system is powered by a 530cfm rated blower and it has a variable speed control for quiet and efficient operation. The workstation weighs approximately 50 pounds and the blower unit is 32 pounds, allowing each piece to be conveniently moved to any workplace.

Enclosure is provided standard as a negative pressure blower but is also available with a reverse flow blower providing  class 100 positive pressure clean air.
